Data Deletion
How to request removal of your personal data.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. We take this right seriously and have made the process as straightforward as possible.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data by contacting us through any of the following channels:
- Email: info@crossfitbodmin.com — include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line
- WhatsApp: message us on 07888 865631
- Instagram: send a direct message to @crossfit_bodmin
- Facebook: message us on our Facebook page
- In person: speak to a member of our team at the gym
Please provide enough information for us to identify you (for example, your name and the phone number or email address you used when contacting us).
What We Will Delete
Upon a valid deletion request, we will remove the following personal data from our systems:
- Contact information: your name, phone number, email address
- Social media data: Instagram username, Facebook profile information
- Message history: all conversations across WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and email
- Form submissions: any application or enquiry form responses you submitted
- Notes and records: any internal notes associated with your enquiry or membership
- Appointment data: booking and consultation records
Timeline
We will process your deletion request and remove all personal data from our systems within 30 days of receiving your request. In most cases, we will complete the deletion much sooner than this.
Confirmation
Once your data has been deleted, we will send you a confirmation via your preferred contact method. After deletion, we will no longer be able to retrieve your data or any previous communications.
Exceptions
In rare cases, we may need to retain certain data where we have a legal obligation to do so (for example, financial records required for tax purposes). If this applies, we will explain what data is being retained and why.
Third-Party Data
When we delete your data from our systems, we will also request deletion from any third-party service providers who processed your data on our behalf, including Twilio (messaging), Meta (Instagram and Facebook), Anthropic (AI processing) and Google (calendar and email). Please note that data you have shared directly with these platforms (for example, messages you sent via Instagram that are stored in your own Instagram account) is managed by those platforms under their own privacy policies.
